California Zoroastrian Center The California Zoroastrian Center is located in Westminster,
Orange County, California. It is a good place to learn more about the
Zartoshti religion. Some days they host different meetings about
Zoroastrianism, people who have studied our religion explain it to us
youth. We ask questions and they make it simple for us to understand. The
Dare-e-Mehr has a prayer room in which there is a fire in the center of
it. When we pray, we face the fire.
California Zoroastrian Center hosts many activities and
celebrations. Around the time that school starts Farsi classes begin.
These classes are two hours long and have different levels for beginners,
advanced, intermediate and higher levels (regardless of age). Two or three
world-class teachers teach the Farsi classes and there are substitutes. Every time there is an Iranian celebration, the Dare-e-Mehr also
hosts one. At these celebrations there is food and drinks, many different
performances and long speeches. The performances are on the stage and as
well as the speeches. Many people from all ages go onstage and do
different things like dancing, funny skits and traditional Iranian plays. The California Zoroastrian Center is a good place to learn and grow
up as a Zartoshti, with many benefits for today’s youth. |
