A Zoroastrian
Life
I am a
Zoroastrian. What this word really means to be a Zoroastrian?
To be good in words, deeds and thoughts? And take care of the nature and all
the creations on earth, be nice to other religions and people who are not a Zoroastrian. A Zoroastrian pray to Mazda and listen to the wise
voice, and have Zarathushtra to be a guiding light in life. A Zoroastrian must fight
for freedom and spread happiness all over the world. We must be creative,
and be free in our mind. A Zoroastrian must fight for democratizing in
all country, we humans are free to make our own choice, but we must stand
for our actions, bad or good. But a Zoroastrian have Zarathushtra and
Mazda as good guiding light in life and Zarathushtra tells us to think before
we do any deeds in our life. God
Wise grants wholeness, immortality, abundance of righteousness,
independence in dominion, and a lasting good mind to him, who is friend
in mind and action. (Song
4.21) When a
Zoroastrian uses the good mind, we have Zarathushtra supreme guiding in
our life to make the right choice in life, but then some don’t have the
same
guiding light in life and they choose the wrong and live in darkness and lie. So a
Zoroastrian must live in truth and light all the time, and have
Zarathushtra as our guide in life, and we shall find a life in happiness
and truth. Money and power does not make us any more happy, but a life in
truth and right to do that does, so use your good mind and Zarathushtras good
guiding light and you shall never live in untruth and darkness, with money or
without money. Of course we must have food to eat and friends, but your friends
do not choose you because you are rich, they are choosing you because you are good
man. Good must a Zoroastrian be, and help other people in their life. And
make other people happier. But an
important question is, how shall we tell other who we are? Is that
important to non-Zoroastrians who do not know who we are? Yes,
I think that, this is an identity, I am a Zoroastrian or I am a Buddhist,
this says something about me to other people. I am Zoroastrian means not
only I believe in God, but also, this is a lifestyle that I have chosen on my own
way. I am a
Zoroastrian twenty four hours a day, even when I sleep I am a Zoroastrian.
I have always Mazda in my mind, and shall pray to Mazda supreme guiding in
my life. Righteousness
is the best good. It is radiant happiness. Radiant happiness comes to the
person to whom righteousness is for the sake of the best righteousness
alone. This pray
from “The Gathas, Our Guide” is one of my favorites praises. This
gives me hope to a better world for all mankind, and not only to those with
lot of money. A Zoroastrian must fight for spread of love and happiness to
other people all over the world, and not only to the friends and family. |
