Happiness an ingredient to a righteous life: in a Zoroastrian Perspective

What does it really mean to live in truth, and seeking after righteousness? Zarathushtra was a truth seeker, a visionary who was after the truth and righteousness; he used the Good mind (Vohu Manah) to ask the Wise God for help to find a way for truth and righteousness

And the Zoroastrians must do the same to find a way for truth and righteousness, and spread love and peace around us, now and forever.   That is our meaning of life “To live in peace and love between each other”.    Whether, you are Swedish or Iranian or American does not matter, we all have some red blood in our body. We all can make us happy or unhappy.

Grant me through righteousness the blessing of both existences, the material and the mental, so that I lead my companions to happiness
. Song 1.2

And happiness we all need, because when we are happy we can think with good mind and good intellect, and if all the humans think with good mind/ intellect the world should be like a paradise to live on.

The September 11, 2001 was the biggest terrorist attack in our history, many people die and many children lost their parents in this terrorist attack.  Then U.S.A attacks Afghanistan, and many people die there too. War feeds War, Love feeds Love.

We have seen two world war and we will not see a third. And as a Zoroastrian I think that’s important to fight for love and peace all over the world.

I seek through my best mind to the powerful dominion for my people, so that we can overcome wrong by promoting it. Song 4.4

The ethical code for a Zoroastrian is to be good in Thoughts, Words and Deeds, to think good thoughts, say good words and making good deeds.

Humata, Hukhta and Huvarashta

These three words are quit simple to use for a human being, but for the Zoroastrians, some shall live these words by practicing them, we shall spread them to other people, we shall be Good in thoughts, Words and Deeds, twenty four hour a day and shall practices these three words. And Zarathushtra´s Good guiding light shall help us think Good Thoughts, say Good Words and Making Good Deeds, and if more people should do that, our world shall be better to live on for all people. So let us open our mind and heart for the lovely song of Zarathushtra and spread it all over the world. Like flower shall we spread the thought-provoking words of Zarathushtra.

We lived in 21st century,  and now we can use Internet to spread his teachings, we can talk to each other.  Whether you live in USA or Sweden is not important any more for us, the world has being a Global village.

Righteousness is the best medicine for us as it can make us happy and better people. But we must open our minds to hear the voice of Zarathushtra and fill the power of Mazda inside us. We shall never find ourselves unhappy if we have something to believe in, and we Zoroastrians believe in the love of Zarathushtra and his and our supreme God, Ahura Mazda. It is our duty to help Ahura Mazda spread love and peace.

We are born to live in freedom, but we must fight for our freedom. When we have overcome all evil deeds, we must defend ourselves so that the evil deeds do not triumph over the good ones. This is important for us to do, so that we can destroy all darkness in this world, and the light of Mazda shall bless us all now and forever.

Whoever goes over to the righteous enjoys bright future. But the wrongful lives a long life of darkness, evil splendor and woeful words, because it is on account of his deeds, that his conscience leads him to it. Song 4.20

But if we open our mind and good intellect for Zarathushtra´s voice, we shall find a way to happiness and truth. That’s also one of our meanings to find the right part of life.

When Zarathushtra walk around the mountains to find the big answer, he met a wise man, and asked him if he can help with this entire question he had, and the wise man gave him an answer.  But Zarathushtra was not happy with his answer, and the wise man said to Zarathushtra, if you are not happy with my answers, you must on your own way found the answers to your questions, said the wise man.””

This story is from me, this is a metaphor, to describe; one of many of  Zarathushtra´s vision which was to teach the humans to think himself and find the way to truth and righteousness with help of good mind and good thinking. So we also call Zarathushtra as a true visionary, someone who wants to teach us to think on our own way to find the big questions he had inside his head.

For whom did you create the fruitful, joy-bringing world” (song 9.6).

If now our world is created by God, why we destroyed all nature and began to fight among each other, when we can help each other to a righteous life.

And for The Zoroastrians, there are important reasons to find truth and righteousness, and practice them. And then, we will be people of “Good Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds”.
